When I select nofollow for links through the BO interface that never gets translated into the html code. I made tons of posts before noticed and had to go back and it in to all of my links. Also, is there a way to have thumbnails linked to fullsize images without having to add the links in html? The image uploader has options to upload thumbnails so it would seem there should be a way to have it linked to the full size image if you upload it too.

the rewriter works once activated only for newly added posts. It won't rewrite old posts.

As about the image question, i can try doing that, but can't give any guarantee, because tinymce is pain to deal with

Ahh ok, I was wondering if I was just missing something obvious when it came to the images, thought it might be already there I just hadnt found it yet. As for the nofollow, my problem is with the new posts. I realize it cant rewrite old posts on remote blogs, but its not working with the new ones. target="_blank" works fine but rel="nofollow" is never added to the post.
