how do i know this works/how do i turn it on?
i am not getting any reports, and the PR rank doesn't automatically update after a few days.

PR doesn't change in days, it changes by google in months..
To see if the linkchecker works, see the main summary page on right for the date for "last linkchecker run"

Hi Atanais,
Sorry, I meant the PR changing from nothing when a link is first added (and not PR checked) to when the link checker runs.
The link checker is at 0000-00-00 00:00:00. How to I activate this? |

looks like you haven't added the cronjob. go to "settings->cronjobs" and there you will find instructions how to setup the cronjob
