For some reason the titles of the posts, both in the posts and in the post list, go to a 404 error page.
Any idea why? |

probably you have put some wrong value in the blog settings for "post link name" or there's a problem with the htaccess on your server. Try leaving the "post link name" setting to empty, grab again the htaccess linking file from BO and upload it to the blog location. If again 404, pm me url and pass to your BO admin and i will take a look what could be wrong.

Thanks Kaktusan. It seems when I downloaded all the links I ddin't get the htaccess file.
Actually this time I downloaded it and it came in as a .txt file that I had to convert once I uploaded it. There must be an easier way to ensure I get teh .htaccess file properly next time.

hi there, probably you chosen to save it as .txt. till now noone complained from downloading it with wrong extension.

| I've always had a problem wit .htaccess files downloading. I'm on a Mac and it becomes hidden on my computer. I have to remember when using the ftp to select "See hidden files." |

ah i see, could be the MAC problem not allowing you files without extensions and making files that begin with dot to be hidden..

Thank you to both of you. I had the same problem. Fixed it by putting the dot in front of htaccess.
This is forum is great! This is the second problem for me with an answer right in this help forum. |

I am still having a problem with this. I re-uploaded the htaccess file. I put the period in. Didn't work. Took it out. didn't work. tried deleting the links post title and it didn't work. I deleted the files on my server and re-uploaded them. Didn't work. I deleted the whole blog and put it back in and even now it doesn't work. Any ideas what to do?

I get an error messsage that says:
Not Found
The requested URL /girl-next-door-is-really-a-anal-freak_27.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Please advise. I'm sending you a pm with my account password and location.
