Hi i have a problem with this feed here :

http://www.einfachgeiler.com/de/cat/hetero/rss-feed/?wmid=1711&type=bc&title=1&showtags=1&feeds=50&aufruf=1&picscol=2&picsrow=3&breite=200&hoehe=200&tp=2&tpcols=2&tprows=2

When i import this feed everything is ok but i cannot post any of the items to a blog !!

But the strange thing here is when i´m editing a single item of this feed and only save this item again...then it will work and the posting to a blog only of this edited item will work !

Is this a bug of BA ??? Because i cannot see any difference of the code from the feed item befor editing and after editing ?

Thanx in advance for your help

hi there, yes, thats a normal problem with German and other non english feeds. The problem is that not all characters in the feed itself are utf8 encoded and when BA sends the request to publish the post the receiving blog software - wordpress or whatever, doesn't like those characters. I did lots of implementations of stuff about trying to fix such chars, but new always appear and its really annoying situation.

Yes, it could be getting fixed if you view the entry and save it without changing anything because your browser converts properly the foreign chars and when saved they go fixed in the database. Too bad php can't do that, so i can make BA do that automatically Sad

this doesn't happen for all foreign feeds or posts, just some which contain such bad chars..
