Good morning
I have read the thread about xmlrpc (can't post the link here because of forum restrictions) which is fair enough if you host your own copy of WPMU but does BO work with www * wordpress * com hosted blogs?
I have tried posting to my wordpress * com blog using windows live writer and it works fine so I *assume* that xmlrpc is working (the blog is found and I can post to my blog). But when I try with BO I add the info but get "No New Blogs found!".
While windows live writer seems a good program I'd like to use BO for its features - any suggestions on getting BO to help with this? I am also having problems trying to post to blogger * com so I'm wondering if it's user error or BO is just made for your own hosted sites and not remote blogs.
Thanks
Martin
p.s. the posting restrictions are a PITA |

hi there,
well, did you had the wordpress.com blog added to your windows live writer since the past or you just added it to it?
You get "no new blogs found" when you just try to add new blog to the software, because it does scan for blogs. If you had your blogs added since months you can continue posting to them without any problems no matter if the broken xmlrpc.php is in place.
I have tried with couple of programs like wbloggar and others and same error occurs when trying to add blogs when broken xmlrpc.php is used. Thats because the "blogger_getUsersBlogs" call is broken in the xmlrpc.php _________________ Thanks,

Hi - thanks for replying - it's appreciated.
I added the wordpress dot com blog to live writer yesterday. I was trying it out because I couldn't get BO to work with wordpress. I don't know how live writer works but I'd have thought that it uses xmlrpc which is why I was surprised when it posted to the blog.

Well - that's new, I must say. I can see the blog but when I try to post, in BO it says it's been made but it doesn't show up on the blog. Is there normally a delay?
Thanks

yes, the remote posts are handled by the cronjobs. see if they are set fine and see if the "remote updater" executes fine in general settings->system events _________________ Thanks,

You're very right - it is now working fine.
Thanks for your help.
