OK, I brought this up a few months ago and now I have proof there is a problem with the affiliate module with BO.

If you go to http://www.yoursite.com/rss-feed.php?aff=XXXXX

The post title links in that feed look like: http://www.yoursite.com/post_title.html?aff=XXXXX

Following that post title link, all the links on that blog post page show incorrect affiliate links. It adds the aff= portion to the link instead of just displaying XXXXX

Clicking on the rss feed link on that page, to go back to the rss feed page will show the post title links as http://www.yoursite.com/post_title.html?aff=aff=XXXXX

You can keep going in a circle and add more aff= parts to the link.

Also any other links on the sidebar using the {AFF} part all would incorrectly show up as aff=XXXXX.

We've noticed that going to the post link without the aff= part works correctly. http://www.yoursite.com/post_title.html?XXXXX

hey there,
okay, its all reviewed, fixed and tested.

On my server all was fine and such problem as you described didn't exist. I tested and on some more users installs and was fine too. But i decided to play a bit with my server configuration with different settings that impact the affiliate id passing and really on a certain setup there was a problem. The problem was that any affiliated links inside the blog template were going wrong as you described, while the links inside blog posts were all fine.

So i made a quick fix which you can apply and fix your stuff.

Sending you pm now with details about that...

yes, i updated the BO packages at the site.

To upgrade follow this:

- if you are on latest v3.4.2
download upgrade package, unpack on your pc and upload only these files:
bofunctions.inc.php
bopost.php
boposts.php
boarchives.php

if you are on lower version, just upgrade to latest version.
