or insert it before a footer?

My header text always ends right next to the first character of the post.Like this.

Unless I insert a line break.
Like this.

Is there any way I can get it to appear. Like this?

When I type a space in the header/footer it just seems to be ignored.

I don't want to use a line break.

I am trying to place the header inline with the first sentence, such as this example:

Quote:
This is the header sentence. This is the text from the rss feed.

However when I try doing that, it does not place a space between the two sentences, so it looks like this:

Quote:
This is the header sentence. This is the text from the rss feed.

Notice the two words "sentence. This" have been placed together with no space between them.

Is there a way to make BA insert a space there?
