Hi,

The add image option doesn't work on the WYSIWYG editor and I wondered if anyone else had this problem.

In case anyone else is interested, here's some other things I notice and some workarounds.

If you rewrite the .postBody class in CSS to get your text to look a certain way, the WYSIWYG editor ruins this by putting a <p> tag before each new paragraph and negating the CSS function. The regular editor doesn't do this.

I add images by loading the image in the boimages folder and would refer to an image named banner.jpg as blogURL/pic-banner.jpg in the img tag. I also fill out the height, width, alt, and title. The pic- before the image name directs it to the boimages folder.

To center the picture, I create this class in CSS:
img.centerImage{display:block; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto}
and add class="centerImage" in the img tag.

I don't NEED the add image in the WYSIWYG editor but if it's supposed to work, where would the problem be?

Could it be more permission problems?

Thanks for your time.

hi there,
what exactly doesn't work for you? You can't insert picture at all, or just aligning it doesn't work?

The add image button in the WYSIWYG editor is at the left on the bottom row. When you mouse over this a small box comes up that says iBrowser - Insert/Edit images. When you click on this, nothing happens.

When you click on most of the other menu items, a box opens.

I'm not sure, but I think the insert image button calls this file:

\bo\templates\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\themes\advanced\image.htm

which in turn calls these four files:

\bo\templates\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\tiny_mce_popup.js

\bo\templates\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\utils\mctabs.js

\bo\templates\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\utils\form_utils.js

\bo\templates\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\themes\advanced\jscripts\image.js

All of these files exist with permissions set to 644.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

do this:
delete file /bo/boblogs/botemp/tiny_mce....
if exists

then reupload all files from directory /bo/templates/tinymce

then try again to insert image.

if no luck, pm me url and pass to your BO to take a look..

The add image now works fine. The problem had nothing to do with BO but was a browser issue - Opera didn't like that particular pop up.

Thanks for all your help.
