Hi,

Should the %%SITEMAP%% token point to a URL of an automatically generated page that contains a list of all of your blog posts?

If not, what does it do?

I tried adding it to a blog and all I get is a blank page when I follow the link. I tried changing the sitemap page name on the blog editor page but I get a blank page no matter what I call it.

I have a feeling I'm missing something really obvious - any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for your help

%%sitemap%% is a link to a page containing list with your posts. Have you rebuilt the blog after you added it?

Hi,

I added
Code:
<p><a href="%%SITEMAP%%" class ="nextpage">Complete List</a></p>
to the template.

I typed in "sitemap" for the Sitemap Page Name in the blog edit form.

I clicked update to exit the blog edit form.

I clicked regen which was successful

I clicked Blogs/Linking Codes and generated new links

I used the FTP option to upload all of the files.

On the blog, the words "Complete List" will link to the page /sitemap.php. The page loads but it is blank. Trying to display the source code for the page show nothing.

I am using version 2.5.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

One more question - there is a token %%NEXT_PAGE%% that will display the next page of blog entries.
Is there a token that will bring you BACK a page? I was going to try %%LAST_PAGE%% OR %%PREVIOUS_PAGE%% but I thought asking would be faster than guessing.

Thanks for your time.

you did all fine. Looks like there is some software problem. Is the problem appearing on all blogs or just on that one?

I don't remember if in v2.5 there were issue with the sitemaps...

back page i think appeared after v3.0

If I'm not missing any steps then I should probably upgrade to version 3.4.2 and see if the problem still exists.

I looked at the 3.0 forum post for the back page and found %%PREVIOUS_PAGE%% along with many more tokens that will be useful.

I'll get back to you after I upgrade and thanks for the help.

Hi,

I upgraded to version 3.4.2 and the sitemap page now works.

I read in another forum entry that the sitemap page is for Search Engines only and cannot be customized. Do you plan to add the ability to customize that page in the future?

I know you can use the forward and back tokens but choosing from a list is much faster.

I could make a custom page that either includes the sitemap page or grabs the data directly from the database but it would be much easier if it were built into BO.

Thanks for you help as well as the great products.

in the upcoming new version, i added a feature to include a dropdown list with the posts on your blog page. is that suitable to you?

Yes, that would be a great idea especially if users could customize sections of the drop down menu to match the look of the rest of the blog.

Thanks again for your help.
